Beautiful Places to visit:Monte Roraima at Venezuela

Today we are starting a new series, Great places to visit 2011.Lets start with a Venezuelan beauty. Monte Roraima, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places to visit on earth. The mysterious mountain cliff has a flat top as it rises from one of the loneliest places of the Amazon forest. This huge mountain is located in three countries, Brazil, Guyana and Venezuela; however 80% of the huge mountain is located in Venezuela.

The heart shaped plateau is about 400meters high from all the sides. On the southwest side of the plateau, which lies in Venezuela, has the highest rock of the plateau known as the Meveric Stone. You can get some of the most magnificent views of the world from this beautiful plateau.

Things to do at Mount Roraima
•    The best thing to do at Roraima is to trek up the mountain. It is a total 8 day trek and there are halts in between the trek. As you trek up the mountain you see different types of strange animals, birds and also plants.
•    You can also take a helicopter trip to see the Tepui Roraima. Overlook the scenic view of the beautiful place from the helicopter. You can spend about a couple of days at the summit.

There are a number of things to see at Mount Roraima they include:
•    The beautiful and strange flora
•    The chilling natural bathing pools know as Jacuzzis

How to get to Roraima

The top of the Mount Roraima can be reached by trekking it down and also by an helicopter. The helicopter ride itself is an experience. Take this beautiful trip to see the heaven on earth.
